Task configuration
All along this documentation concerning the configuration of Fast2 objects (either tasks or tools used within tasks), please consider the default value is set to false
if no default value is mentionned for boolean
fields.
The sources tasks will extract raw data. They can be of different shapes like CSV, TIFF, IBM, Alfresco, Excels and more.
Our connectors will easily retrieve your informations stored in ECMs. Check their functional purposes here.
The Content source tasks are used alongside with source tasks. You first need the source task to scan and identify all the documents and data to extract, then you will be able to extract the content faster (with more dedicated threads or workers) to fulfill this resource-demanding step.
The Fast2 Credential modules are used to establish the communication between the workflow engine and the remote systems, to either retrieve or load documents and metadata into them.
The transformation tasks will bring an added-value to your data set. Transform, delete or add some data to your data set. Mind the converting tasks if the document content needs to evolve during the migration phase. Check their functional purposes here.
The content conversion related tasks will process the content to change its format. Use this task to convert TIFF, Office or even more to PDF. Check their functional purposes here.
The loading tasks are the end of the process. They load your transformed data to a new data warehouse.
Two ways to perform the loading phase : the one-shot way with full load, or incremental load. Check their functional purposes here.
The tools tasks are tasks used in a workflow for small additional updates of the documents and punnets, or just to help you configure the overall migration workflow.
The Helpers are Fast2 modules used by general tasks, to help in optimizing the configuration of the latter. They aren’t displayed in Fast2 as tasks, since they are designed to be used by the other tasks.
