Nowadays, the majority of ECM use annotations. Although they are practical, they remain hard to take on board due to their diversity and complexity. To answer this problematic, Fast2 leaned towards the XFDF format (XML Forms Data Format). Owned by Adobe Acrobat, this format is similar to a classic XML but also contains fields including annotations.
